I'm glad you shared your experience about it because even though USA's small town life and India's small town life is completely different I still relate to you.

I live in a small town in India and while I'd appreciate the reduction of pollution and crime, it's honestly lovely here.

Everyone knows each other. If you decide to talk to someone random, one way or another you'll find a shared relative or acquaintance.

Shopkeepers know you by your name. You know every spot in the city.

I find this familiarity comforting, so I love being a small town gal...
